I predicted that the U.S. would defeat England. However, the fact that the U.S. played England to a tie in a sport that is No. 1 in England and that is not even rated among the top 15 in the U.S. is pretty satisfying. Soccer will definitely increase in popularity after this U.S. success. And, who knows how we will do against Argentina. Miracles do happen.

Don’t cry for US, Argentina
The truth is we wanted to play you
All through wild World Cup days
That mad existence
We kept our promise
We went the distance

Clever connection with the musical. It would be a real upset if we “went the distance” and defeated the great Argentina team.
