The Kalahari Desert in Botswana is the home of the San tribal groups, known as the Bushmen. These unique people are still hunters-gatherers and live much as they did thousands of years ago. They communicate through a series of clicks. They are considered to be among the first people to walk the earth.
Gaborone the capitol of Botswana is the home of The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, a series of ten novels by British author Alexander McCall Smith. The books follow Precious Ramotswe, the first female private detective in Botswana, and the mysteries that she solves. The books are a wonderful exploration of traditional African society.
Botswana the land of mystery.
