Salisbury, England boasts a unique, personalized tourist service. It’s the kind travelers could only dream about—until now.
Stu Weyers, an innovative Englishman, has put a whole new face on customer service. He has developed a method of tailoring his tours to the specific needs of travelers at a very reasonable price. After determining the specific goals of his perspective clients, he quotes a price, then loads the clients into his new seven-seater Fiat—and the visit begins.
It was in September, 2013, that my husband and I discovered Stu Weyers. We had checked out of our Salisbury hotel and were scheduled to catch an afternoon train for London. We wanted to see Stonehenge, Old Sarum and the Salisbury Cathedral. Our problem was we had no car and we had to schlep our baggage.
We requested help from our hotel concierge. No problem. She telephoned Stu’s Taxi and Tours. The end result was he picked us up at our hotel, loaded our luggage into his trunk, drove us to Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Salisbury Cathedral, and waited while we leisurely visited the three historic sites. He drove us through Salisbury providing information about the city. Finally, he dropped us at the train station, unloaded our luggage and sent us on our way.
The price for both of us was the lowest we’d ever paid for a group tour let alone a private tour.
If you are even considering a trip to Salisbury, book a tour with Stu Weyers way ahead of time because as soon as word gets out about this new service, he will be deluged with reservations.
